Lola.com’s Hot Streak Continues with BostInno 2019 ‘50 on Fire’ Win
Lola.com is among 50 on Fire companies and people heating up Boston’s ecosystem
BOSTON – Sept. 24, 2019 – Lola.com, the Agile Travel Management™ company that provides a super simple way to manage, book, report, and save on business travel, continues to light up the Boston tech scene, chosen as one of BostInno’s 2019 50 on Fire winners. This is the eight year BostInno has chosen 50 people and companies that are heating up Boston’s ecosystem and helping to cement Boston as the global hub for innovation.
“As we drastically simplify the travel management process for small and medium sized businesses with our super simply travel app, Lola.com has emerged as one of the hottest SaaS startups,” said Mike Volpe, CEO of Lola.com. “We are thrilled to be part of BostInno’s 50 on Fire, lighting up the Boston tech scene.”
BostInno’s 50 on Fire winners are the people, businesses, and organizations that have had a banner year in Boston’s innovation economy – through a major funding round, a recent product launch, big hires, remarkable headcount growth, and other milestones. Candidates were selected from both internal and external nominations, and winners were selected by the BostInno editorial team.
Lola.com recently announced adding hundreds of customers during the first half of the year as small and mid-size businesses continue to embrace the company’s approach to managed business travel. The company is looking to match customer growth by doubling the headcount this year, which is currently at 100+, and is also moving into a larger facility in Boston this month. Earlier in the year, Lola.com secured $37 million in funding.
Just this month, Lola.com was also recognized by Tech in Motion as a 2019 finalist for the Best Tech Startup category in Boston as a part of the annual Timmy Awards as well by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) with a Boston 2019 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® award.
The company was also recently named one of Boston Business Journal’s 2019 Best Places to Work, and was one of the Elite 8 companies in BostInno’s Tech Madness competition, recognizing the hottest companies in Boston tech.
Boston’s most inspiring and fastest-growing entrepreneurs, executives, startups, and businesses are gathering on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Artists For Humanity to celebrate this year’s BostInno’s 50 on Fire winners. For the complete list of 50 on Fire winners, visit:
