Pappas is a multi-disciplined, digital travel innovator and entrepreneur. She draws on more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the travel industry, from startups to publicly traded companies, including her role as Global Director and Head of Travel of Bing, a Microsoft company, where she led all commercial aspects, evangelism, and strategy for Bing Travel. She has led and scaled global teams in sales and development, and marketing and customer acquisition. At Lola.com, Pappas oversees the company’s business development and distribution strategy.
Prior to Lola.com, Pappas was the COO of DuVine Cycling + Adventure, responsible for the overall day-to-day management and growth of the company. She was an executive team member of the startup teams Farecast acquired by Microsoft and SmarterTravel which was acquired by TripAdvisor. She also led travel at the New York Times Digital (NYTd) after selling her company FareChase, the first travel metasearch company to Yahoo! Pappas was coined the first “Internet Travel Analyst” in 1999, and from that point on, has been deeply immersed in the travel industry. Her focus has been on the intersection of travel disruption, technology, search, and customer experience.
She currently invests and advises early stage Internet companies in commerce and travel and sits on several travel boards.
