“BostInno’s Tech Madness competition is about who the community thinks are the best tech companies to invest in, and we are excited to be among the hottest in Boston tech,” said Mike Volpe, CEO of Lola.com.
BostInno seeds 64 private local companies and 16 public companies with readers determining who moves on to the next round. Seeding is based almost entirely on funding and marketing cap, but factors like headcount and growth are factored in as well. The group embodies the complete range of Boston tech in both industry and stage.
Lola.com recently announced a record-setting 423 percent increase in annual travel bookings and 786 percent in revenue at the end of 2018. Led by Volpe, who is well-known in the SaaS and tech community as part of the founding team of HubSpot, the SaaS startup is working to fill its office space on Summer Street in downtown Boston by doubling in size with over 60 new hires planned in 2019.
