Lola.com Identified as Boston Startup to Make Big Moves in 2019, Featured at State of Innovation Event on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in Cambridge, MA
BOSTON – Jan. 31, 2019 – Lola.com, Agile Travel Management™, has been selected as one of 19 Startups to Watch in 2019 by BostInno, the source for the Boston startup and tech communities. In addition to their own insight, BostInno reached out to investors, entrepreneurs, startup mentors and accelerators to identify companies that should be on your radar for the year ahead. This year’s list recognizes startups that are in the seed stage or just emerged out of stealth, likely to see a major funding round or have significant plans for the coming year.
“Last year was a significant year of growth and movement for Lola.com, and we are planning and expecting even more great things in 2019,” said Mike Volpe, CEO of Lola. “We’re excited that BostInno sees us as one of the top startups in Boston to follow and track in the next year and beyond.”
Lola made the list for a variety of reasons, including landing Volpe, who is often described as the best marketer in Boston, as CEO in July 2018. The company also recently expanded its office space on Summer Street in downtown Boston and signed a partnership with American Express Global Business Travel (GBT), under which GBT is reselling Lola’s travel management software to its own customers, a big, important leap into corporate travel.
On Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., the State of Innovation meet-up will feature a showcase of startups from the 2019 Startups to Watch list. Lola.com will be joined by some of the city's fastest-growing companies. The event is a forum for founders, VCs, executives, professors and thought-leaders to share their expertise, successes, analysis and commentary with the local innovation community. Trending and hot topics in the ecosystem, as well as emerging industries will be at the forefront of discussion.
Lola will be showcasing its corporate travel management tool that is the simplest, most cost-effective, best way to book and manage business travel. Lola.com makes every facet of booking and managing corporate travel easier. The event is hosted at WeWork in Cambridge. For more information, visit:
