Launched in 2002, the MIT Sloan CFO Summit is the nation’s premier CFO event bringing together financial executives from around the world and leading faculty from MIT.

WHAT: Lola.com’s Rebecca Morrison Guest Speaker at MIT Sloan CFO Summit

WHEN: Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. EDT

Operations can too easily get bumped to the bottom of the list, for companies big and small, until problems emerge. In “Prioritizing Operational Excellence,” CFOs share how work in Human Resources, Legal and IT functions can make a company agile across cost structure, ease of use, and employee satisfaction.

Morrison is joined in the session with Avner Applbaum, Chief Financial Officer at Double E Company; Amanda Duguay, Chief Financial Officer at Profitect (now part of Zebra Technologies Corp.); and Sarah Romano, Chief Financial Officer at EyeGate Pharmaceuticals. Ken Bettenhauser, President and Managing Director at HR Knowledge is moderating the session.

Morrison oversees financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, and budget management for Lola.com. Previously, she was VP, Global Finance and Operations at Midaxo, a leader in M&A software, where she oversaw all back-office operations including finance, operations, HR, and admin. She spent four years at HubSpot holding various roles with the Sales Strategy and Operations team, as well as the Finance organization. Prior to her time at HubSpot, she spent nine years in various finance and operations roles at EMC and RSA, the Security Division of EMC, including a three year stint in Singapore.

CFOs hold responsibility not only for today’s results, but also for tomorrow’s reinvention. Strategy and operations, perspective and persistence, innovating and allocating all come into play. This event focuses on how today’s CFOs make tomorrow’s decisions – ensuring success for their companies and customers, and also their careers.
