Technology is Increasingly Important to Corporate Travelers
New research reveals that satisfaction is rising among business travelers, partially driven by improving technology
New travel management tools and booking platforms are making it easier for road warriors, travel managers, and finance teams to tackle business travel, according to a new Traveler Sentiment Index Report from the Global Business Travel Association. Sentiment among senior business travelers climbed 0.4 points in the last quarter, driven by especially large gains (5.7 points) among US-based travelers.
While improving amenities and positive economic signals are responsible for some of the rising sentiment, traveler-friendly technology appears to be the main factor.
“With advances in travel-specific technology, travelers are more productive and willing to travel even more than they currently do,” said GBTS’s COO and executive director, Scott Solombrino. “This bodes well for our industry and the global economy.”
